2018 Co-Branded Spots: “Jump on the Wagen” Campaign
In the spirit of collaboration, VW and FOX Sports partnered together to leverage the interest, passion, and excitement of the World Cup™ to get people to see Volkswagen in a new way. The World Cup™ represented a unique opportunity for VW to reach a diverse and engaged U.S. audience with one goal in mind: provide fans something to root for. Without the USMNT, fans nationwide turned to an alternative team to select, and in some cases, jumped on the bandwagon of a national team that represented their roots, a clear favorite, or an unexpected underdog.
Utilizing the diversity of the Volkswagen vehicle lineup (Atlas, Jetta, and Tiguan), FOX and VW created a multi-platform sponsorship campaign to provide fans with something to root for.
The ‘Jump on the Wagen’ campaign thematic was seamlessly integrated across the FOX broadcast, FOX Sports digital and social platforms – optimizing maximum reach of the VW brand among the FOX soccer audiences.
